| Botanical Name |
Chamaecyparis obtusa ’Gold Drop’ |
| Common Name |
Gold Drop Hinoki Cypress |
| Description |
’Gold Drop’ has a compact globular to flat-topped habit with greenish-yellow foliage. It is a preferred plant for locations where one wants a well-formed specimen that will not outgrow its location in a short amount of time. The name of this dwarf Hinoki is a bit misleading - the gold influence is not strong. ’Green Drop’ would be a more appropriate name. The foliage is intricate and lacy, so much so that it is surprising to some that it does not burn in full sun. Zone 4 - 8 |
