| Botanical Name |
Chamaecyparis nootkatensis ’Pendula’ |
| Common Name |
Weeping Alaskan Cedar |
| Description |
This green form of Weeping Alaskan Cedar develops into a broad pyramid of cascading branchlets and sweeping branches, often with multiple leaders. We, however, prune to maintain a single leader. ’Pendula’ is the most commonly cultivated form of the species and is considered one of the finest weeping conifers for a specimen plant. When planted in a hedge situation, it creates a graceful curtain appearance and brings out the beauty of everything planted in front of it. The ’Weeping Alaskan Cedar’ thoroughly deserves its overwhelming popularity. Zone 4 - 8 |
