| Botanical Name |
Cedrus deodara ’Deep Cove’ |
| Common Name |
Variegated Deodar Cedar |
| Description |
Unlike other deodara selections, ’Deep Cove’ is hardier and slower growing. It is a very uniquely attractive form of the ’Himalayan Cedar’. ’Deep Cove’ is semi-dwarf, while boasting the same graceful nature of the Cedrus deodara. Throughout the year, its needles are a deep blue-green, which contrasts distinctively, and beautifully, with the new creamy-white foliage in the spring. By mid-summer the needles settle into their blue-green coloring. An added bonus to this cedar is its resistance to burning, even in 100 degree sun. ’Deep Cove’ is a great selection of Cedrus that will stay compact and rich in appearance all year through.
