| Botanical Name |
Buxus sempervirens ’Suffruticosa’ |
| Common Name |
True Dwarf English Boxwood |
| Description |
This Dwarf Boxwood was widely used in colonial times after its import from England. It is slow growing with dark-green pointed leaves. At maturity, ’Suffruticosa’ is only three feet tall. Due to its denseness and low-growing habit, this Boxwood is excellent for planting along walkways and in hedging, as well as an accent or cut close into different shapes. Like most Boxwoods, ’Suffruticosa’ prefers partial shade, but will tolerate full sun as long as its soil does not dry out. Zone 5 - 8 |
