'Hazel Smith' has provided the market with a hardier cultivar of the Blue Giant Sequoia. Started from a seedling order in Oregon and selected by Don and Hazel Smith of Watnog Nursery. The namesake of his wife, 'Hazel Smith' parallels the size and growth rate of the species, but is a lovely blue. The additional hardiness and blue coloring is making a name in the industry quickly. This sequoia will grow to 14' by 10' in ten years. Zone 5-9
