The obtusa is one of the nicest grown. Its color is rich and dark, like the very best of Hinokis. Eventually reaching a mature height of 20 feet, 'Gracilis' is slow growing, conical, and more compact than species. It is dressed in outspread branches, with slender branchlets that arch and are irregularly arranged. It has short, dense fan-like leaves, which are glossy dark green on top and light green below. This selection can be expected to grow approximately 6 inches annually when planted in its preferred sunny location. Zone 4-8
