This dark green Hinoki was thought to originate from Well Nursery in Mt. Vernon Washington, but was introduced by Mitsch Nursery in 1977. Reaching a mature height of 25', 'Well's Special' can be a vigorous grower. A more open habit than 'Gracilis' but more compact than the species, 'Well's Special' proves itself as another great obtusa Hinoki. Zone 5-8
