This selection of the Sycamore Maple is simply stunning. The foliage has a purple underside with tops decorated in pink, green and white splashes. To avoid burning, 'Eskimo Sunset' should not be planted in afternoon sun, and it prefers moist, humus-rich soil. Its growth habit is generally smaller than the species, but larger than other variegated cultiavars, such as 'Brilliantissimum'. 'Eskimo Sunset' can be expected to reach a height of ten feet by five feet wide in ten years, to mature eventually at forty by thirty feet. This selection is still rare in the trade, but will no doubt earn respect and popularity as it gains more exposure. Zone 5-7
