This hemlock is a medium sized, compact tree discovered as a seedling in Geneva, New York. The original tree was 38 feet tall and 30 feet wide at 110 years of age. 'Geneva' is an open, upright shrub whose thick branches hold soft, dark-green needles. At Bizon Nursery, we grow ours in bush form, but it can also be staked into a small tree, so this selection can be used as either an individual specimen or for screen planting. It grows into a dense, five-foot tall tree in ten years. Zone 4-8
