Back in the days when Mugo Pines were extremely scarce, one customer was offering this variety as a 'blue mugo'. The gray-blue needles and compact form of the "Dwarf Blue Scotch Pine" are its main assets. Ours are candle pruned to ensure you receive a symmetrical, dense globe of a plant that can grow five to six feet in ten years. After it is established, preferably in full sun, little pruning is necessary unless a specific shape or size is desired. Zone 2 - 7
