Picea pungens 'Mrs. Cesarini'
Dwarf Globe Spruce
With so many selections of the dwarf blue spruce available, they seem to blend together and a distinction is hard to find. This flat-topped, globose growing dwarf Colorado spruce, however, sets itself apart and is becoming very desirable. Its needles are a unique blue-green and regularly puff out with a second flush in mid-summer, while most only push once in the spring. There is also a variance in the needle color between the new growth and the older foliage. This contrast and its constant lushness throughout the year make 'Mrs. Cesarini' a great substitute over the traditional blue globosa spruce. Zone 2 - 7
