This slow growing spruce is a real beauty. Its needles are shorter and darker green than those on most orientalis. 'Nigra Compacta' grows into a very dense pyramidal compact tree. When it is young, this selection is wider than tall, but develops into its pyramidal form with age. Customers that receive this dwarf oriental spruce will undoubtedly reorder it year after year.
