The Alberta Spruce is an exceptionally popular dwarf selection with leaves that are light green, very fine, but densely borne. We shear and space these plants to produce a very dense, conical plant. 'Conica' is an especially slow growing tree at only two to four inches per year. It will not reach its mature height of approximately seven feet and width of three feet for 25 years. They are decorative little trees and are commonly used for live indoor Christmas trees and exterior accents. 'Conica' prefers full sun in order to bring out its best presentation. Zone 3 - 7
