At Bizon Nursery, we selected the 'Blue Chip' juniper to graft on three foot standard because of the way the branches turn up on the ends. 'Blue Chip' also has a particularly distinctive blue color that turns to purplish-plum in the winter. This plant will eventually mound to 12 inches or more before heading downward. 'Blue Chip' can tolerate very dry, poor, soil and should be planted in full sun. Zone 3 - 9
