'Blue Lagoon' is an U.S. National Arboretum selection, and was introduced in 1992 after nine years of study and observation at the arboretum. Selected for its very distinctive blue-green color combination, 'Blue Lagoon' grows slower and more compact than the species or other named cultivars of shore juniper. Though it is most commonly used as a ground cover, we at Bizon Nursery graft this juniper on standard to show off its wonderful color! 'Blue Lagoon' will most definitely be chosen as a specimen plant in any landscape setting, and has the added advantage of being extremely drought-tolerant. Zone 3 - 9
