The margins of 'Rohanii' undulate like the 'Oakleaf Beech' (F.s. 'Quercifolia'), but are a strong purple similar to 'River's Copper Beech'. The color, while good, will fade slightly more than River's and changes to a dark green in the summer months. This is also a relatively large tree in time, although it takes quite a long time to reach its mature size. The habit is uniform and oval, making a magnificent statement when given ample room to grow. Zone 4 - 7
