The name perfectly describes the foliage of this new cultivar, which originated as a sport of Chamaecyparis pisifera 'Squarrosa Lutea'. The rich, lemony-yellow hue requires full sun to acquire its full potential, and fortunately, when established, resists burning in 100 degree F+ heat. 'Lemon Thread' has a hearty, upright habit, more so than most varieties, while all the fine branchlets bow gracefully downward. Zone 4 - 8
