'Nana Gracilis' is the most requested dwarf Chamaecyparis. It has been grown for over one hundred years and has come to be known as the most highly regarded dwarf conifer. It is most admired for its dense form and radiant, dark green foliage. The undulating foliage varies from plant to plant, but it always forms a tight irregular globe. With age, the irregular globose form develops into an upright habit. C.o. 'Nana Gracilis' is not to be confused with C.o. 'Nana', which is a completely different and much slower-growing plant.
