Cultivated before 1901, 'Crippsii' is one of the best of the yellow conifers and certainly a very popular Golden Hinoki. It is a loose, open, upright conical tree adorned with extraordinarily bright golden-yellow foliage, on extended sprays. 'Crippsii' should be grown in sun or filtered shade to attain its best coloring, unless the green coloring of its shaded foliage is preferred. Zone 4 - 8
