The Blue Cedar has beautiful form, giving it unmatched excellence. It makes for a breathtaking sight in its old age when given the proper location to mature. Blue Cedar is a relatively rapid grower when it is young, spurting about two feet or more a year, to reach heights of forty to fifty feet, with a comparable spread. As with most cedars, this variety starts pyramidal in shape, becoming flat-topped with horizontal spreading through maturity. The branches are adorned with silvery, powder blue needles and its bark is a distinguished dark gray. Zone 5 - 9
