'Shaina' is a dwarf sport of 'Bloodgood,' thus sharing the same dark red coloring. However, 'Shaina's' leaves are shaped differently, with five deeply cut lobes and a rounder, shorter center lobe. The leaves and habit are compact, which makes this a wonderful plant for tight spaces where a strong splash of spring, summer, and fall color is desired. Our twenty-year-old scion plants are only six feet tall. It is important to note that this cultivar may not be quite as hardy as the species in general. Zone 5 - 7.
