Ordering for Fall Shipments
When ordering for fall delivery, we will confirm your
order by August 10th. This helps to ensure that we can
have your order shipped to you the first week of
September, unless a later ship date is requested. If you
would like to change your fall order, please notify us
before August 25th.
Ordering for Spring Shipments
Bizon Nursery will confirm your spring order in early
fall. We greatly appreciate any adjustments to your
order to be made promptly and no later than December
15. Please remember that this helps us immensely, and
purchasers who adhere to this policy are given priority
on future confirmations.
Order Adjustments
We cannot accept cancellations after December 15. Due
to our wet winters and springs, we must begin digging in
November to have our plants ready for shipment in
March. As a result, late cancellations are often already
dug and healed in sawdust. Cancellations made by
December 15 allow us to offer these plants at the winter
trade shows. Your understanding and cooperation is
very appreciated.
Minimum Order
We recommend a minimum order of $3,500.00 or 10,000
lbs. Meeting and exceeding this minimum will insure
that your order can be shipped in a timely fashion and
that you obtain the maximum economy for your freight
dollar.
In addition to a minimum order, we highly recommend a balanced order of B&B versus containerized material. Freight on large, heavy material is greatly offset when smaller container plants are added to your order. Small containers can be stacked on top of and in between large root balls—which allows those items to ride on the truck, virtually freight free. By placing a balance of B&B versus containerized material, you can increase the dollar value received, without increasing your freight amount.
Shipping
One of our top priorities in our business is how to transport
your order to you affordably. All freight cost is separate,
and not included in the price of our product. We take great
measures to ensure we are finding inexpensive freight rates
to your area. Freight charges are direct billed (broker terms
vary), unless otherwise specified from our office.
If you elect to arrange your own transportation we need 1 week’s notice prior to the date you would like to pickup your material. Please arrange to have your material picked up by May 15th. Any material left after June 1st may be subject to a holding fee.
- Invoicing of freight charges is separate from plant material invoicing.
- We request one week’s notice for all shipping and/or pick-up orders.
- Freight charges are direct billed from the truck broker.
- Please make arrangements for pickup of material by May 15th.
- Material left after June 1st may be subject to holding fee.
