Ordering for Fall Shipments
When ordering for fall delivery, we will confirm your
order by August 10th. This helps to ensure that we can
have your order shipped to you the first week of
September, unless a later ship date is requested. If you
would like to change your fall order, please notify us
before August 25th.
Ordering for Spring Shipments
Bizon Nursery will confirm your spring order in early
fall. We greatly appreciate any adjustments to your
order to be made promptly and no later than December
15. Please remember that this helps us immensely, and
purchasers who adhere to this policy are given priority
on future confirmations.
Order Adjustments
We cannot accept cancellations after December 15. Due
to our wet winters and springs, we must begin digging in
November to have our plants ready for shipment in
March. As a result, late cancellations are often already
dug and healed in sawdust. Cancellations made by
December 15 allow us to offer these plants at the winter
trade shows. Your understanding and cooperation is
very appreciated.
Minimum Order
We recommend a minimum order of $3,500.00 or 10,000
lbs. Meeting and exceeding this minimum will insure
that your order can be shipped in a timely fashion and
that you obtain the maximum economy for your freight
dollar.
In addition to a minimum order, we highly recommend a
balanced order of B&B versus containerized material.
Freight on large, heavy material is greatly offset when
smaller container plants are added to your order. Small
containers can be stacked on top of and in between large
root balls—which allows those items to ride on the truck,
virtually freight free. By placing a balance of B&B versus
containerized material, you can increase the dollar value
received, without increasing your freight amount.
Terms of Sale
Terms are cash with order unless credit is established. A
25% deposit is requested with all orders. To those who
have established credit with us, our terms are strictly net 30
days from the date of invoice. Past due accounts are subject
to a monthly service charge on the unpaid balance at
rate of 1.5%. In order to establish credit with us, we
request a confidential credit application to be completed,
which includes reliable nursery references and the name of
your bank. To obtain a credit application, please contact
our office.
Substitutions
Due to conditions beyond our control, we reserve the right
to substitute a full grade lower or higher without customer
notification unless the order specifies that you cannot
accept specific changes. This can be done for individual
varieties, or the entire order.
Warranty and Claims
We extend our best efforts toward proper labeling and
grading but will in no case be held responsible in excess
of purchase price of the plants.
Claims for shortages of unsatisfactory material or damage
must be received within five (5) days upon receipt of the
material and be accompanied by a signed receipt from the
delivering carrier. All unsatisfactory goods must be held
for our advice or disposition, generally conducted by your
sales representative. Any freight claims (material damaged
in transit or shortages) must be reported on the Bill of
Lading and submitted to the carrier and a copy must be
submitted immediately to Bizon Nursery. Liability in all
instances is limited to the purchase price.
Prices
The prices in our inventory availability override all previous prices.
All prices are subject to change without notice.
Shipping
One of our top priorities in our business is how to transport
your order to you affordably. All freight cost is separate,
and not included in the price of our product. We take great
measures to ensure we are finding inexpensive freight rates
to your area. Freight charges are direct billed (broker terms
vary), unless otherwise specified from our office.
If you elect to arrange your own transportation we need 1
week’s notice prior to the date you would like to pickup
your material. Please arrange to have your material
picked up by May 15th. Any material left after June 1st
may be subject to a holding fee.
- Invoicing of freight charges is separate from plant material invoicing.
- We request one week’s notice for all shipping and/or pick-up orders.
- Freight charges are direct billed from the truck broker.
- Please make arrangements for pickup of material by May 15th.
- Material left after June 1st may be subject to holding fee.
